Vacancies on these groups occur either through scheduled vacancies (those created by the expiration of a term) or through unscheduled vacancies as a result of resignations during the year.
NOTE: The General Municipal Election on November 3, 2009, includes 3 ballot measures that pertain to the Architectural Board of Review (Measure E), the Harbor Commission (Measure D), and the Parks and Recreation Commission (Measure C). If the Measures are passed, changes will be made to the number of members and qualifications. For additional information, please see the Vacancy Notice for the respective Board or Commission.
Applications for the current recruitment must be received in the City Clerk's Office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2009. Interviews will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. (estimated time); Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at 6:00 p.m., and on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. (estimated time). Applicants for the Franklin Center, Lower Westside Center and Westside Center Advisory Committees, and applicants for the Downtown Neighborhood position on the Community Development & Human Services Committee have the option of appearing for an interview before the Council Subcommittee on Thursday, November 12, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at the Westside Community Center, 423 W. Victoria Street.
When applying to more than one Committee, a separate application for each Committee is required.
